Safedoors aims to be the supplier of choice. Whether it is in the material (GRP or thermoplastic), the style (traditional, contemporary or cottage) or personalisation (colour, glazing and hardware), we offer greater choice. You choose how you want your entrance to look.

Make sure your door is a SafeDoor

One of the most important features that people look for when ordering a door is security. The importance of security is reflected in the new Approved Document Q (effective from 1 October 2015) which governs the standards required to comply with buildings regulations for new buildings, extensions or material changes of use of a building.

You can demonstrate compliance with the new regulations by meeting the security requirements of PAS 24 or similar standards, so make sure that you request PAS 24 compliant doors, where appropriate. PAS 24 covers door and window assemblies, including tests and specifications for locks, and the robustness of the doors and windows themselves.

Safedoors’ comprehensive portfolio of PAS 24 products has successfully completed rigorous independent testing, so you can be sure that they comply with the new security requirements. Make sure your door is a Safedoor.

The benefits of GRP doors

GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Polyester, and is more commonly known as fibreglass. GRP is a material that is commonly used in the most challenging marine applications, so it makes a perfect finish for external doors.

It is light, requires very little maintenance, and can be manufactured in a variety of attractive styles. They have high resistance to denting, warping, bowing, twisting, splitting, peeling, flaking, cracking and fading, making them extremely durable.

At Safedoors our composite doors benefit from the aesthetic, traditional appearance of wooden doors, without regular maintenance needed to keep them looking great, with greater thermal efficiency. The GRP facing is coloured all the way through, so there is no need to repaint it. All you need is an occasional wipe with a cloth to keep it looking good.

Our GRP composite doors are available in a wide choice of colours, styles and accessories, making them ideal for a wide range of homes. We also offer PAS24/Secured by Design compliant specifications to meet the requirements of Approved Document Q (which governs the standards required to comply with buildings regulations as far as security is concerned).

The benefits of thermoplastic doors

Safedoors’ thermoplastic-faced doors have a solid engineered timber core, giving them outstanding strength and security, as well as greater thermal efficiency.
The doors can be manufactured in a variety of attractive styles and their high resistance to denting, warping, bowing, twisting, splitting, peeling, flaking, cracking and fading, makes them extremely durable as well as very secure.
